3DC’s Cutoff Tool now has a Soft Boolean Option in Version 4.9.

One new feature in 3D Coat 4.9 is the addition of a new Soft Boolean option when working with the cutoff tool. The Sculpt room’s cutoff tool is an excellent way to prototype or design models quickly while in surface mode. Similar to Vox Hide, the cutoff tool allows you to remove or add elements from your sculpt quickly.

The new soft boolean option lets you add a finished bevel when you remove elements from your sculpt. The new feature only works in surface mode, so if you are in voxel mode, you will not see it. Check out this short demonstration of how the new option can offer smooth and softer edges when you work.
