An Intro to Polygon Modeling With 3D Coat

Ian Thompson walks through the polygon modeling room in 3DC 2021.

3D-Coat is one of those jack of all trades kinds of applications that is super helpful in many 3D workflows. 3DC 2021 introduced a new polygon modeling room to the growing number of rooms in 3D-Coat.

This new tutorial from Ian Thompson walks us through the new room in 3DC and shows how to create polygonal objects and manipulate the mesh, including extrudes and editing vertices.

Once you have a polygonal model, you can take that into the Sculpt Workspace as either a Surface Object or a Voxel Object for sculpting.
