How to Create an Abstract Flower With a Sim in Maya

Reimagine Fx shows how to create an abstract flower by shooting a sphere into some cloth.

This new tutorial from Amar Shinde (Reimagine Fx) shows how to use Maya nCloth dynamics to create an abstract flower shape. The tutorial takes inspiration from Nick Medukha’s flower tutorial in Side FX Houdini. While Maya doesn’t have anything similar to the Vellum Solver, you can create something similar with nCloth or even MPM Cloth in Bifrost.
