There are plenty of tutorials out there that will take a more hard-lined node-driven procedural approach to create knitting in 3D. While this new tutorial from Lucas Thorup uses Cinema 4D’s Mograph tools, the premise is surprisingly the same.
Thorup shows how to create a pattern to make the over and under loops and animate it with the MoGraph tools in Cinema 4D.
