How to Easily Place Rivets on Objects Using Cinema 4D

Athanasios “Noseman” Pozantzis shows how to use a cloner to place rivets on objects in Cinema 4D.

If there were ever a job for a cloner, it would be to place screws, rivets, or other equidistantly placed objects along another model’s surface. A Cloner will take you 90% of the way there, but as Athanasios “Noseman” Pozantzis shows in this latest quick tip tutorial, a few more things could improve the distribution.

The tutorial shows how to convert edge selections to splines and use those for the distribution. The technique will only work when the source mesh is an editable object.
