The Great Summit Releases an Update to Mesh Boolean With a Smoothing Bevels Feature
The Great Summit adds some features to MeshBoolean, their advanced boolean workflow plugin for Cinema 4D. The most significant feature of the latest release is Smoothing Bevels, letting users connect objects and smooth the intersections. Smoothing Bevels ends up looking much like a metaball operation, only without injuring the rest of your mesh.
Just connect the two objects with a “Union” operation, and MeshBoolean will automatically add a default bevel where those two objects intersect. Smoothing will only affect the beveled additions, relaxing the mesh and leaving the rest of your mesh as is.
The ability to smooth bevels will significantly change how you work with hard surface models in Cinema 4D.
