Anton Tenitsky Demonstrates How to Work With the Vox Hide Tool for Creating Hard Surface Models in 3D Coat.
Nead a straightforward approach to hard surface modeling in 3D-Coat? Complex shapes and details seem hard to sculpt out, but in reality, all you need is a single tool. That tool is Vox Hide. Anton Tenitsky shows his approach for creating what he calls a model that has some “overcomplicated shapes.”
Vox Hide allows you to paint in the areas on the model that you wish to hide. It’s a great way to create hard edges surface for hard surface designs. The tool also has a few other functions, which you will find in the Voxel menu. Such as invert, unhide, delete hidden, separate hidden, and more.
Watching a model created this way seems like it could be a snap and also allow for iteration and experimentation.
