How to Create Dust on Objects With Octane Scatter in Cinema 4D

By August 23, 2022No Comments

SilverwingVFX shows how to use Octane Scatter to place dust on any object in C4D.

SilverwingfVFX (Raphael Rau) covers creating super-real-looking dust in Cinema 4D by scattering around some geometry. Rau uses a model of a portion of dust, a longish strand, and shows how to use Octane Scatter, effectors and cloners to place the dust on any object.

Rau’s tutorial is a great way to create realistic dust, and many renderer/DCC combos can create a similar effect using other scattering tools and shaders.
