Dimitris Katsafouros covers the two top 3D competitors for modeling on the iPad.
While desktop 3D tools get more robust with each release, the same is valid with iPad modeling tools, too, only at a much faster pace. The iPad Pro offers a unique modeling experience using the pencil and touch input. The two top contenders are uMake and Shapr3D – but which comes out on top?
Workflow and Feature Comparisons.
In this latest video, Dimitris Katsafouros runs through price, documentation, help videos, as well as one-to-one features and workflows with each app. “In this video, we’ll pit the two original iPad 3d applications against each other! uMake vs. Shapr3D! Both have evolved quite a lot since the last video, so it’s time for another comparison!” Shapr3D has a lot of great modeling features, all based in the CAD realm of solid modeling. The app uses the same Siemens Parasolid engine as SOLIDWORKS, so it’s no wonder it comes out on top.
