How to Create and Connect C4D Nodes at the Same Time

Jonas Pilz shows how you can create and connect scene nodes in C4D all at once.

Most apps will allow you to work with nodes, and while the premise is always the same, some will enable you to make connections much more manageable than others. However, most will allow you to both create and connect a node simultaneously, although the technique differs slightly between Blender, Maya, Houdini, and, as we see here, Cinema 4D.

This quick tip tutorial from Maxon’s Jonas Pilz shows how you can create and connect Cinema 4D scene nodes all in one shot in C4D’s node editor. You will also discover that you can drop new nodes on an existing connection to automatically wire it up. These techniques work for Scene Nodes (Tech Preview) as well as for Material Nodes.
