Anton Tenitsky Shares Techniques for Getting Super Clean and Smooth Surfaces For Hard-Surface Models in 3D-Coat
Anton Tenitsky often offers some insights into creating hard-surface models using 3D-Coat. 3D-Coat has some nice voxel tools that allow users to create quick concept art, and even sketch ideas in 3D for hard surface models. Finishing models so that you have nice and smooth surfaces, is another story.
Refining hard-surface sketches takes a bit more effort. It can be challenging to get the smooth and clean surfaces needed for topnotch detailing. Anton shows a few different approaches that he uses to get smooth and clean surfaces in 3D coat. This is especially true if you have complicated curves surfaces in 3D-Coat, trying to match reference… it can be difficult to turn them into nice smooth surfaces.
