The Pixel Lab Show How to Create an Organic Reveal Effect in Cinema 4D Using Voronoi Fracture and Volume Builder.

Joren Kandel from the Pixel Lab is teaming up with the Render King Alessandro Boncio to produce a new series of tutorials. A new one from that endeavor has a look at using Cinema 4D’s fracture tools along with the new volume tools in R20 to create a nice-looking organic reveal effect.

As with most things in Cinema 4D the premise is simple. Fracture an object into sections using Voronoi, then randomly change the attributes for position and scale. Then you can use the Volume tools in C4D to add a more blobby effect to the pieces. A little animation and you have a neat little organic reveal effect.
